Barracudas are large, aggressive predatory fish found in tropical and subtropical ocean biomes. They are known for their speed and powerful bite, and will attack other fish on sight.

Behavior

Movement

Barracudas swim passively when calm, but switch to a fast swimming animation when aggressive. When attacking, they perform a lunging strike animation.

Aggression

Barracudas are passive until provoked or until a prey fish comes within range. Once agitated they gain a speed boost, making them significantly faster and dangerous to nearby fish. There is a cooldown between attacks. Barracudas cannot target a new prey animal until their cooldown expires.

Hunting

Barracudas actively hunt:

• Cod
• Tropical Fish

They will retaliate if hurt by any entity.

Spawning

Barracudas spawn in hot ocean biomes, like coral reefs. They are solitary and do not school with other barracudas, and only spawn in groups of 1.
