A Clownfish is a passive mob found in warm ocean biomes (i.e. coral reefs). There are 8 species.

Behavior

Movement

Clownfish move around in water randomly. If on land, they will not move and will eventually die.

Breeding

Clownfish can be fed Fish Food to breed. The female will lay a clutch of roe, which will hatch after some time. Offspring may inherit the parent's variant, with a 5% chance of mutation.

Spawn

Clownfish spawn in groups of up to 10.

Capture Methods

Clownfish can be caught in a bucket. They can also be obtained through Fishing and a Fishing Net.

Breed-Only Variants

Each species has multiple subvariants representing different color morphs. The Ocellaris Clownfish has the most with 17 subvariants, while the Orange Skunk and Pink Skunk Clownfish each have only 1.
