Books EPUB and PDF

Books (EPUB & PDF)

Books (navigation rail → Books) is a separate section for EPUB and novel-style PDFs, kept apart from the comic/manga Library because they read differently (reflowable text, not fixed pages).

Adding books

Books have their own folder list, independent of the comic library:

1. Open Books.
2. In the BOOK FOLDERS panel, click Add Folder and pick a folder of .epub / .pdf files.
3. Click Scan Now.

Imported books show as cards with title and author, grouped by series where the metadata provides one. Right-click a book for Delete Book (with a confirm step).

The book reader

Open a book to get a text reader tuned for prose:

• Paging — on-screen ‹ / ›, arrow keys, or click the page edges. A progress % is shown and your position is saved.
• ☰ Table of contents / Chapters — jump to any chapter.
• 🔍 Search this book — full-text search with excerpts; jump to any match.
• 🔖 Bookmarks — bookmark the current page; the Bookmarks panel lists them all.
• Aa — Font and theme:
  • TEXT SIZE — A / A smaller/larger
  • FONT — Sans / Serif / Mono
  • LINE SPACING — Compact / Normal / Relaxed
  • THEME — light/sepia/dark presets, or Match app skin

Novel PDFs vs comic PDFs

A PDF can be read either way. Page-image PDFs (scanned comics) belong in the Library and open in the page reader; text PDFs (novels) belong in Books and open in the text reader. If a PDF lands in the wrong place, move the file to the other section's folder and re-scan.
