By the end of this session, we will…

  1. Define unconscious bias

  2. Define inclusion

  3. Describe 5-10 hallmarks of an inclusive classroom or company culture

Resources

Activity (1 hour)

  1. The facilitator goes through the norms for the meeting

  2. Break students & instructors into 4 different groups, ideally with people that they don’t normally work with.

  3. Assign one article for each group. Give people 10 minutes to silently read their article

  4. Give groups 15-20 minutes to discuss their article and write down a group response to objectives 1-3

  5. Spend the rest of the hour facilitating a class discussion of the objectives
