Clearance

Some missions are CLASSIFIED: they're on every TACT, ready to play once the device has clearance. You get clearance with a clearance code. The first is UNDERWORLD COMMANDOS.

A classified mode shows CLASSIFIED in GAME MODES and is listed last. Tapping it opens Clearance.

Your Device ID

Every TACT has its own Device ID, for example K7Q2-M9X4. It never changes, even after updates. It's shown in two places:

• Settings → SYSTEM → Clearance, with a QR code that opens the website with it filled in.
• About.

Your warranty registration and your clearances are linked to this ID.

Getting clearance

1. Register your device at my.tactgames.co.uk: scan the QR code on the Clearance screen, or type in your Device ID. Registering records your warranty (name, email, date and place of purchase), and is needed before a clearance code can be entered.
2. Enter your clearance code on the same site, with the Device ID. Each code works on one device only.
3. Sync the device: connect it to a Wi-Fi network with internet access (Multiplayer explains joining a network), then open Settings → SYSTEM → Clearance. It syncs by itself when it opens, or tap SYNC. Checking for updates syncs too.

The mission shows CLEARED and is ready to play. From then on it works without internet, for good, including after updates.

Good to know

• Multiplayer: only the host needs clearance. Joined devices play the game the host starts.
• Entered a code for a mission this device already has? The code isn't used up: keep it for another device.
• Bought a used TACT? Register it again with your own details.
• The device only needs internet when it syncs.
