Phone Remote
Run the game from your phone. While a TACT device is hosting, any phone on the same Wi-Fi can open a web page that mirrors the host's screen (tap it to use the host from the phone) and shows every linked device's live state and stats. No app to install: it works in the phone's browser.

-
On the host, open CONNECTIVITY and choose HOST (see Multiplayer). The device link card shows PHONE REMOTE, a PIN, and the address to open, for example
http://192.168.4.1. -
Join the phone to the same Wi-Fi as the host:
- the host's own network (
TACT-<device name>, passwordtactarena), or - the same home network or hotspot the host has joined.
On the host's own network, Android may say it has no internet: choose to stay connected.
- the host's own network (
-
Type the address into the phone's browser, including
http://. -
Enter the PIN.
One phone can be the remote at a time. Others are told another phone is already the remote, until it chooses DISCONNECT (or has been gone for a minute). The phone doesn't count towards the session's 4 devices: the host's own network has room for it as well.
The PIN is new every time hosting starts, and changes again after each phone signs in: each PIN works once. After 5 wrong tries, the page waits 30 seconds before taking another.
On a home network the address is given by your router and may change from day to day. To keep it the same, reserve an address for the device in your router's settings (often called DHCP reservation).
The top of the page is a live copy of the host's screen. Tap, hold or swipe it just as you would the device: pick a game mode, set it up, SYNC and START, end a game, or anything else. The host's own touchscreen keeps working at the same time.
DEVICES lists the host and every linked device, with its team colour, whether it's online, and a one-line summary of its game (time left and score). Tap a device to open its live stats, updated every second:
| Mode | Live stats |
|---|---|
| DETONATION | Bomb state, armed at, fuse left, arming or disarming progress, overtime |
| DOMINATION | Who holds the point and for how long, time held and captures per team, a capture in progress |
| KING OF THE HILL | Points and points per minute per team, who leads |
| PASSCODE | Code length, wrong codes, penalty time left |
| RESPAWN WAVES | Current wave, time to the next wave, wave interval |
| SEQUENCE | Bomb state, sequence length, armed at, fuse left, arrows entered, wrong arrows |
| TEAM DEATHMATCH | Deaths, lives left, spawn rate and last respawn per team |
| UNDERWORLD COMMANDOS | Current step and its objective, time on this step, each finished step's time |
Team stats are shown side by side, one column per team. When a device's game ends, it shows how it finished.
- If the connection drops (out of range, or the phone's screen locked), the page reconnects by itself.
- DISCONNECT (top right) stops that and goes back to the PIN screen.
While a phone is connected, and for 10 minutes after, the host keeps its Wi-Fi on so the phone can come back (see the battery note in Multiplayer).
