The only USB interface here that transmits, and the only half-duplex
one: receive stops for every over.
Transmit safety: poor harmonic suppression — low-pass filter for the
band, or a dummy load until you have measured harmonics and carrier
leakage. Leave Drive high and set level with TX VGA; the carrier
sits on your signal by design.
The 14 dB RF amp is one switch for both directions; sdroxide
reprograms it on every direction change. Via SoapySDR this cannot be
expressed — there the receive amp dies after the first over.
Leave Baseband filter on Automatic — a hand-narrowed filter silently
withdraws the DC-avoiding LO offset, which looks like the offset being
broken.
A Pro reaches 100 kHz and gets four extra low rates; its
half/extended-precision gateware modes are not driven — a Pro left in one
by hackrf_debug -P shows noise until unplugged.
