Run DBRepair with no arguments to enter the interactive menu.

At the Enter command # -or- command name (4 char min) : prompt, you may enter:

  • The command's menu number (e.g. 5), or
  • The command's full name or its abbreviated short form (e.g. repair or repa).

Text commands are case-insensitive. Most commands can be abbreviated to their first 4 characters; config is the exception and requires the full word (6 characters) — see Option 90 for details. prune also accepts the synonyms remove and purge (see Option 21).

You can also type menu off / menu no to suppress the menu redisplay between commands (useful when typing several commands in a row), and menu on / menu yes to restore it.

Menu options are as follows:

  • Automatic (2) - Intelligent stop, check, repair/optimize, resume as needed.
  • Check (3) - Perform integrity check of database and FTS indexes.
  • Config (90) - Show current Host configuration (debugging/verification).
  • Count (30) - Show the record count of every table in the main database. (Not on the on-screen menu.)
  • Deflate (23) - Deflate a bloated PMS main database.
  • Exit (99) - Exit with cleanup options.
  • Expunge (22) - Remove view history of non-existent or expired accounts.
  • History (12) - Show command history of this session.
  • Honor (42) - Honor all database errors.
  • Ignore (42) - Ignore duplicate/constraint errors.
  • Import (8) - Import watch history from another DB (risk).
  • Orphans (31) - Search for and report any orphaned media items.
  • Prune (21) - Remove old PhotoTranscoder cache & temp files.
  • Quit (98) - Quit immediately. Keep all temporary files.
  • Reindex (6) - Rebuild database indexes.
  • Repair (5) - Repair/Optimize databases.
  • Replace (9) - Replace current DBs with backup DBs.
  • Revert (13) - Revert DBs to immediately before history index.
  • Show (10) - Show logfile.
  • Start (7) - Start PMS.
  • Status (11) - Report status of PMS (run-state and databases).
  • Stop (1) - Stop PMS.
