Multiple monitors

Optikey works with the following setups:

  • A single monitor

  • Multiple monitors with a mirrored setup (both monitor and laptop showing the same screen)

  • Multiple monitors with an extended desktop only if Optikey and your eye tracker are set up on your primary monitor

As Optikey was originally designed with a single monitor in mind, if you find any incorrect behaviour with a multi-monitor setup, please report an issue and describe your monitor setup. We have several users with 2-monitor extended setups working extensively with Optikey, but there may be certain workflows that have been overlooked.

⚠️ Important warning: If you change your display settings while Optikey is running, or drag it between monitors, you may experience incorrect behaviour in the size and position of Optikey. To work around this, plug in your monitor, change your display settings to mirror the display and then restart your computer.
