Background: FinOps, Global VP of Cloud Sales at Apptio
- Effectively a "here are some ideas" conversation
- Software for to-do lists for corporations
- Larger corporations have "lost control" over their workforces due to remote work
- Could use a tool to effectively communicate work to do
- Proposed tool can scrape slack/email/personal calendars/ect. and effectively push a to-do list to the user
- Allows for more productive time management for employees, and managers can be ensured that things that need to get done are being seen by employee
- Since its corporate product, can include some monitoring software
- Allows for employees to add own personal to-dos to the list
- "Brokerage" for internet/tv/streaming
- Internet providers provide packages for users to get streaming services/other tv channels
- Users only use a small subset of things they pay for usually
- Finding a way to get what the user wants in a package through the ISP, instead of individually buying each product (i.e buying a netflix add-on through comcast vs just buying netflix independently) is mutually beneficial
- Cost/resource tracking for serverless cloud computing
- Cloud computing servers/Kubernetes have systems where usage can be tracked, and cost of usage can be allocated accordingly
- No such technology exists yet for serverless cloud computing
- If we could be the first to get our foot in the door, immediate money maker
