Glenn Reid - Creator of iMovie/iPhoto, Multi-time founder, Fractional CTO

  • When creating a product, find out who is motivated to make the project successful
  • Potential idea spaces to explore: Shoplifting (i.e San Fran), Sociological issues (where big foundations invest money), Coordinating workforces with employers, Commercial real-estate vacancies
  • Big emphasis on supply chain
    • Demand forecasting for "bank run" type events
    • Secondary marketplaces for industrial/specific tech products, when companies overbuy, they may need to offload, we would create that marketplace
    • Figure out where supply chain has failed from the pandemic

Adam Heher - FinOps,

  • Effectively a "here are some ideas" conversation

  • Software for to-do lists for corporations

    • Larger corporations have "lost control" over their workforces due to remote work
    • Could use a tool to effectively communicate work to do
    • Proposed tool can scrape slack/email/personal calendars/ect. and effectively push a to-do list to the user
    • Allows for more productive time management for employees, and managers can be ensured that things that need to get done are being seen by employee
    • Since its corporate product, can include some monitoring software
    • Allows for employees to add own personal to-dos to the list
  • "Brokerage" for internet/tv/streaming

    • Internet providers provide packages for users to get streaming services/other tv channels
    • Users only use a small subset of things they pay for usually
    • Finding a way to get what the user wants in a package through the ISP, instead of individually buying each product (i.e buying a netflix add-on through comcast vs just buying netflix independently) is mutually beneficial
  • Cost/resource tracking for serverless cloud computing

    • Cloud computing servers/Kubernetes have systems where usage can be tracked, and cost of usage can be allocated accordingly
    • No such technology exists yet for serverless cloud computing
    • If we could be the first to get our foot in the door, immediate money maker

Samantha Phillips - Data Integration, Analytics & AI Sales Specialist

  • Threat landscape assessment
    • Oracle has one for databases (DBSat, can test it out), is a static tool, used as an entry point for other security tools
    • Can we make one for the rest of your environment
  • Validate AI models, create tool that can protect models from backdoor attacks

Chris Tsakalakis

  • Find an acute, persistent problem, people will pay even if product isn't 100% effective.
  • Analyze macro-trends, increasing wealth and people want to spend in meaningful ways, EV charging stations
  • Increasing number of gig-workers/independents, don't get benefits like health insurance that normal employment provides, no dollar benefit for gig-workers
    • Someone that acted like an employer to negotiate better rates for contractors/independents like a company does
  • Give independent contractors insight into what opportunities give them the most value, and where they should be spending their time (like deciding to drive lyft/uber, or do something else)
  • get into someone's shoes and see how they operate
