The bell in the top bar aggregates printer alerts and site update status. It is the place to check when something changes in the background.

Notifications can include:
- Printer messages.
- Status changes.
- Heater faults.
- Connection changes.
- Pending site updates.
A dot on the bell means there is an unread alert or pending update.
Printer notification settings can filter severity and change behavior.
Common options:
- Minimum severity.
- Toast duration.
- Sound/beep preferences.
- Integration targets, where configured.
For automation targets such as webhooks, chat notifications, MQTT, and Home Assistant, see Integrations and Automation.
The updater status lives in the bell so update controls do not cover the workspace.
- Check refreshes update status from the server.
- Install applies an available release when a compatible asset is ready.
- Updater keys are only required on protected deployments.
