Paris vSID Configuration

These Runtime Menu controls use the loaded vSID provider through EuroScope Plugin Bridge. Current builds publish airport-scoped rules, areas and autoconfig snapshots. vSMR follows these live values, including changes made outside its own panel. Older companion snapshots retain compatible fallback controls. See Integrations.

Do not expect an unmodified vSID build to implement every control.

Manual selections

Airport Controls
LFPG, LFPO, LFPB Linked / Unlinked (OPPOSING off / on with generic providers)
LFPG additionally Minimum Taxiing / Ground Crossing (area commands, independent of Linked / Unlinked)
LFPN, LFPV, LFPT WL / EL / IPGW / IPOW (four explicit rule assignments)
LFOB with generic provider CDG West / CDG East (PGEAST off / on)
LFOB with older regional companion Legacy WL / EL / IPGW / IPOW, when supported

Regional choices use LFPG's point of view:

Label Rule Meaning
WL wlpg West Lie
EL elpg East Lie
IPGW wipg West Inverse
IPOW eipg East Inverse

Select the desired configuration in the vSID CONFIG panel and verify the highlighted state published by vSID. Missing/conflicting state is not silently converted into a selection. Buttons stay unavailable when the provider lacks their required rules/areas, is offline or is processing a command; an Online lamp alone does not guarantee that every control is supported.

With generic snapshots, Linked sends .vsid rules ICAO OPPOSING=off and Unlinked sends OPPOSING=on. The regional action enables its chosen rule and disables the other three in one assignment command. LFOB sets PGEAST explicitly. Repeated clicks are assignments, not toggles. Commands are scoped to the airport displayed by the panel, including TopDown operations with several airports open.

LFPG: independent controls

Linked / Unlinked changes only OPPOSING. With older LFPG providers, the legacy command is .vsid rule LFPG opposing: clicking an already-published selection does nothing; without published rule state, either button sends the toggle and neither is highlighted.

Minimum Taxiing sends .vsid area LFPG OFF, then .vsid area LFPG NORTH, then .vsid area LFPG SOUTH, waiting for each command to complete. Ground Crossing sends .vsid area LFPG OFF. These commands do not change the link rule. NORTH and SOUTH are geographic areas, not alternate names for the two modes.

The generic areas snapshot, or legacy lfpg_taxi snapshot (companion schema 1.4), drives the taxi-row highlight. Both NORTH/SOUTH enabled selects Minimum Taxiing; both disabled selects Ground Crossing; mixed/unknown state selects neither. Older providers without live areas use the last completed vSMR command sequence as a fallback; its tooltip explains the limitation and the remembered state resets on reload/disconnect. An ambiguous or failed command stops the sequence without retrying a toggle.

Automatic configuration and manual overrides

Runway-driven configuration detection belongs to vSID, not vSMR. When enabled/configured by the provider, vSID selects its rules from EuroScope's active runways and publishes the result. vSMR reflects that state; it does not infer an airport configuration from geometry or modify/lock active airport/runway selections.

CONFIG heading Published state / action
CONFIG - AUTO vSID reports a matched automatic configuration.
CONFIG - MANUAL An airport override is active. Resume auto config releases it.
CONFIG - OFF Provider automation is off.
CONFIG - CHECK RUNWAYS Selection is undetermined or ambiguous; verify ARR/DEP runways and provider rules.
CONFIG - MISSING RULE A required provider rule is missing.
CONFIG - NOT LOADED vSID reports that automatic configuration is not loaded.
CONFIG - MANUAL ONLY This airport is not managed by automatic configuration.
CONFIG No compatible automatic-configuration status was published.

A manual rule selection can suspend automatic configuration for that airport. When offered, Resume auto config sends .vsid autoconfig ICAO auto; verify that vSID then publishes the expected automatic state. Provider configuration determines when automation is available and what runways match.

The former Auto mode button for automatic SID assignment remains removed. That is distinct from the automatic-configuration status and Resume action above. The retired vSMR Auto runways control is not reintroduced. RIMCAS ARR/DEP monitoring and runway-driven AVISO group visibility are separate features.

Persistence

vSID owns rule, area and override persistence. Recheck published state after a provider reload/restart rather than assuming a remembered vSMR button highlight is authoritative.

vSMR sends commands; it does not modify the installed vSID DLL or airport configuration files. Check provider compatibility with the vSID maintainer before enabling controls that your build does not publish.

These operational vSID controls are unrelated to the independent East Arrows / West Arrows visibility groups in the LFPG AVISO map.
