Targets and Tags

vSMR draws aircraft targets, trails, labels, and status information directly on the EuroScope SMR display. Their appearance comes from the active profile; the information itself comes from the current target and flight plan. Configure symbols, trails, layouts, tokens, and conditional colors in Control Center - Display. Configure mode filters in Control Center - Modes

The target images above are illustrative examples; actual appearance follows the active profile, palette and rendering-resolution preset.

Use tag interactions

The exact clickable areas depend on the configured layout. The standard functions are:

Interaction Result
Left-click callsign or ground status Open vSMR ground status
Right-click callsign Open EuroScope handoff
Right-click an SRW tag background Open EuroScope's Assume/Handoff menu, including when no field is under the pointer
Left- or right-click an uncorrelated tag Open EuroScope's acquisition/correlation menu
Middle-click callsign Open the communication popup
Right-click flight-plan item Open the flight-plan dialog
Right-click runway or SID Open its selector
Right-click scratchpad or scratchpad-derived gate Open the corresponding EuroScope editor
Right-click Ramp Agent stand (uk_stand) Dispatch the Ramp Agent stand interaction
Click holding point Set an eligible ground aircraft to Taxi, then open the holding-point selector
Click clearance item Toggle clearance
Left-click Ready Startup (RDY) Invoke CDM's authoritative Ready Startup toggle
Click target symbol Rotate the tag anchor by 22.5 degrees

The SRW tag-background Assume/Handoff correction is included in the 2.0.2 stable feed and next-airac pack.

The ground-status menu offers No Status plus the applicable departure choices (Startup, Push, Taxi, Line Up, Departure) or arrival choices (Taxi In, Parked, Arrival).

Opening the HP editor changes the ground state immediately, even if you cancel the point selection. Existing scratchpad text and real speed assignments are preserved, while the shared Line Up marker is cleared. EuroScope ownership restrictions still apply and rejected writes are reported. The same behavior applies in AVISO insets, including CoFrance.

Line Up is shared between vSMR clients using EuroScope's TAXI state and a reserved controller-assigned speed value. Real speed assignments are preserved. The shared indication clears when the aircraft becomes airborne or another ground state is selected. Changes to aircraft tracked by another controller are declined with an explanation.

Integration values and rendering

RDY is red until CDM publishes ASRT and green afterwards. The toggle requires the compatible CDM integration and respects its permissions; it is not a reminder sender.

Ramp Agent supplies uk_stand and remark through the bridge, not strip annotations. Scratchpad-derived gate/stand values are separate. See the token reference.

Normal/detailed hover tags and interactive fields also work in AVISO/SRW insets. Fit background to each text line follows each line's width. Resolution presets scale aircraft icons, trails, tags and hit areas without changing geographic anchors or menu dimensions. See Settings.

Past-position dots/rings and their strokes follow the rendered aircraft icon size, including zoom limits, resolution scaling and icon fallback, instead of retaining a fixed pixel size. This applies to main AVISO, AVISO/CoFrance insets and SRW; configured sample counts, spacing and fading are unchanged.

The optional EuroScope RDF list item displays latched blinking TX for ground speakers heard on an open RX frequency. It is separate from the custom tag-token syntax; use the RDF setup and reset instructions.
