Runtime Menu
The native Runtime Menu is the compact control rail inside the EuroScope radar display. Use it for immediate choices; use the Control Center for reusable configuration.
Note
The SRW and PDC labels below are included in the 2.0.2 stable feed and next-airac pack. Older 2.0.1 builds may show SRW 1 and CPDLC.
| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Airport ICAO | Set this radar screen's active airport; right-click for recent airports |
| Mode | Select a display mode in the active profile |
| Groups | Show/hide the active airport's AVISO groups for this screen's session |
| Insets | Operate AVISO, SRW, Weather, Timer and airport presets |
| Profile | Select this radar screen's active profile |
| vSID / PDC | Open the separate vSID and PDC panels together |
| Open Control Center | Open or raise the configuration window |
Select the same rail button again to close its popup, or another button to switch. Runtime popups no longer have header close buttons. Moving the rail or selecting another EuroScope screen object also closes the popup. Rail position is shared across ASRs; other screen-specific choices still follow their own ASR.
Resolution presets do not resize this menu.
Select the ICAO text and enter the intended four-letter airport. Right-click the field for up to five recently opened airports, kept for this screen's current session.
The EGKK startup fallback is excluded from this history, including a stale entry, without preventing EGKK from being selected normally. PDC uses the airport selected here, rather than substituting the connected controller's ICAO; verify the selected airport before sending a clearance.
Changing airport saves the outgoing live inset state and loads the new airport's map, groups, weather, runway/RIMCAS context and airport-keyed inset arrangement. It does not select another profile. The active airport belongs to this screen and is saved with its ASR.
Settings offers Keep AVISO window placement: when enabled, an AVISO window stays at the same screen position and size while its map recenters on the newly selected airport. See Settings.
The Mode popup lists the active profile's modes. A choice changes presentation requirements, visible statuses, airborne limits and whether structured color rules apply.
Mode definitions and their active-mode choice are stored in the shared profile configuration. Reloading that source preserves each ASR's own active-profile selection; do not confuse independent profile selection with independent copies of profile definitions.
See Modes.
Groups appear in their configured order. A toggle affects both the main AVISO and this screen's AVISO inset.
This visibility choice is per-radar and session-only; it does not rewrite the GeoJSON or another screen's visibility. Names and membership are configured under Groups. Only groups actually present in the selected map are offered.
Configured runway-driven rules apply at map load and when their source airport's ARR/DEP runway selection changes. You can still toggle a group manually: the choice remains until that source selection or the rule changes. LFPG defaults show East Arrows for 08/09 and West Arrows for 26/27; mixed or absent directions hide both.
Use the eye controls to show/hide AVISO, SRW, Weather and Timer. The rail dots indicate visible insets. Reset is available for AVISO and SRW placement/view and preserves their visibility.
Presets belong to the active airport and are stored in the Profiles source. Save current records an arrangement; load it to verify the result. The selected preset and live inset state belong to the radar screen's ASR. No preset clears the active preset/linked-view state and hides the insets.
Linked movement is a saved preset property. The native popup has no separate Linked movement switch.
Hiding Timer, resetting its window, or selecting No preset does not cancel a countdown. Right-click the timer cell to clear it.
See Insets.
A profile supplies symbols, trails, tags, colors, rules, modes and alert settings. Selecting it does not change the airport or live inset arrangement.
Only this radar screen changes its active profile. Other ASRs retain their choices. Save the ASR to preserve the selection. Editing a shared profile definition can still affect other screens using that definition.
See Profiles.
One rail button opens two separate panels, each with its own connection state in the title.
The vSID panel provides supported configuration, status, synchronization and reload actions. Current providers publish generic rules, areas and autoconfig snapshots: buttons reflect live rules, and the CONFIG heading shows automatic/manual/error state. Resume auto config releases an airport's manual override when offered. CONFIG - NOT LOADED means automatic configuration is not loaded; CONFIG - MANUAL ONLY means the airport is unmanaged by that automation.
The removed Auto mode button controlled automatic SID assignment, not runway-driven configuration. SID assignment remains vSID's responsibility. Runway-driven configuration also belongs to vSID; vSMR never changes or locks EuroScope's runway selections. Older providers retain their compatible manual controls. See Paris vSID Configuration.
The PDC panel provides Login, Password, Poll and Connect/Cancel/Disconnect for Hoppie CPDLC. Credentials are saved, but the Hoppie connection starts disconnected when the plug-in loads. Login and Password are not editable while connecting/connected. The code is protected with Windows DPAPI; do not include it in screenshots or reports.
There are no Delay, Cooldown, Run/Stop or Check now reminder controls. See Datalink for manual aircraft messages and PDC composition.
This closes the popup and opens or raises the configuration window. Operational inset presets and integration connection controls remain in the Runtime Menu.
