Background

Backgrounds

In GenLegend a background is compossed of two entries:

• A Description
• And a Hook.

The description prints under the background’s name. The Hook is a separate titled entry on the sheet.

hero += **Records**: abilities, skills.

The description describes the job, the archetype, this element of the person the character is. Not a complete picture, but a piece of the puzzle. It is what the player is presented with when this background is selected.

The Hook is where the DM can tie this character to the world: relationships, quest engines, threats... it is something to pull from when inspiration is weak.
