Description

You make things, and you make them well. Somewhere there is a guild hall with your mark in its ledgers, a master who taught you, and a trade that shaped your hands long before it shaped your character. You can look at a lock, a hinge, a flawed casting, or a rival's handiwork and see at a glance how it was made and where it will fail. You know the worth of honest work and the true cost of cutting corners, and you have bargained with enough suppliers and patrons to talk your way to a fair price (or a workshop after closing). Whatever road you walk now, you still measure the world by whether it was built to last.

Hook: The Guild

Your trade opens doors that coin alone cannot. In most towns you can find the guild, workshop, or craftsfolk of your art, and among them your skill earns a fair hearing: a place to work, tools and materials at cost, and word of who needs a thing made or mended. Build a reputation and the commissions come to you, some stranger than they first appear (a key for a lock no one will name, a repair no honest smith would touch), and every odd request is a call worth answering to make a name for yourself.
