For advanced users: runs a small program written in C# (a programming language). Beginners can skip it, because the other steps do the same things without code.
| Setting | What to put in |
|---|---|
| Code | The C# program. It runs inside Cuebot with full access to your computer, so only use code you trust. Beginners: use the normal steps instead. |
| Timeout (seconds) | Stop the code after this many seconds so it cannot get stuck. 0 = no limit. Starts as: 30. |
| Code name | Optional. A name so other code or "Run C# method" can call a method of this code. Most people leave it empty. |
| Description | Optional note for yourself about what this code does. |
| Precompile on application start | Tick to prepare the code when Cuebot starts instead of the first time it runs. For advanced users only. Starts as: false. |
| Delayed start | With "Precompile": wait until Cuebot has finished starting and is connected before preparing the code. Starts as: false. |
| Save result to variable | Tick to save the code's yes/no answer in a variable and always carry on. Unticked, a "no" (false) stops the action. Starts as: false. |
| Variable name | The variable that receives the answer when "Save result" is ticked, without % signs. |
| References | Extra program files (.dll) the code needs, one full location per line. Most code needs none. |

For advanced users: calls a ready-made C# method that you wrote in a "C# code" step. Beginners can skip it; the normal steps do the same jobs without code.
| Setting | What to put in |
|---|---|
| C# code | The "Code name" you gave a C# code step, or the name of its action. |
| Method | The name of the method to call. It needs no inputs and gives back yes/no or nothing. The default is Execute. Starts as: Execute. |
| Timeout (seconds) | Stop the code after this many seconds so it cannot get stuck. 0 = no limit. Starts as: 30. |
| Save result to variable | Tick to save the code's yes/no answer in a variable and always carry on. Unticked, a "no" (false) stops the action. Starts as: false. |
| Variable name | The variable that receives the answer when "Save result" is ticked, without % signs. |
