Show civilization information in displays that support PlaceholderAPI.

This wiki documents Civilizations 1.0.1. Numbers are bundled defaults; in-game menus and previews show your server’s current values.

When PlaceholderAPI is installed and its integration is enabled, the plugin registers identifier civ:

  • %civ_name%
  • %civ_role%
  • %civ_age%
  • %civ_claims%
  • %civ_claim_limit%
  • %civ_members%
  • %civ_research%
  • %civ_research_remaining%
  • %civ_war_state%
  • %civ_war_enemy%
  • %civ_war_remaining%

Unknown placeholders are left unresolved. Unaffiliated-player text values are empty and numeric values are zero.

Use a placeholder in a display

  1. Install PlaceholderAPI and a display plugin that supports it.
  2. Leave integrations.placeholderapi: true in the Civilizations configuration and restart after integration changes.
  3. Add a placeholder such as %civ_name% to that display plugin’s player-context text field.
  4. Check with an affiliated player and an unaffiliated player, since their output differs.

Civilizations registers these placeholders when the integration is active. Where to put them and how to refresh the display depend on the display plugin.
