Check the recurring cost of your home and understand when ownership can be reclaimed.

This wiki documents Civilizations 1.0.1. Numbers are bundled defaults; in-game menus and previews show your server’s current values.

Each civilization starts at 0 currency units per privately owned plot per week. Only the leader can change the rate:

/civ taxes
/civ taxes set 25

In this example, an owner of three private plots pays 75 per week in total, with each plot charged on its own schedule. The GUI shows plots, rates, next due dates, and payment status.

  • The charge is per owned plot, not a percentage of the player's balance or the purchase price.
  • Capital, civic, common, and unsold government plots are exempt. An owner's plot listed for private resale is still taxable.
  • A new purchase receives a full seven-day period before its first bill. Existing plots enrolled by the tax migration are not billed retroactively.
  • Changing the rate gives at least seven days before the new scheduled charge. Already-issued bills retain their original amount. Setting 0 stops future scheduled bills.
  • Payments are automatically deducted from the owner's personal Vault balance, including while they are offline, and credited to the civilization treasury.
  • Verified insufficient funds immediately reclaims that particular plot for the government as CIVIC. There is no debt period, grace period, or automatic payment toggle.
  • Reclamation clears private ownership, trust, listings, flags, and personal plot metadata. Buildings and containers remain physically in the world. No purchase refund is paid.
  • Owners receive payment/reclamation notices online or on their next login. Treasury history records receipts.

The worker checks once per minute. Each plot gets at most one overdue bill after downtime before beginning its next seven-day period; missed weeks are not stacked into catch-up charges. When multiple payments are due, oldest work is processed first, with due date and claim ID ordering the due plots.

Currency-disabled or unavailable economy services do not collect taxes or trigger reclamation. Definite provider errors are retried. An uncertain external transfer preserves ownership for administrator reconciliation. A provider error is not treated as proof that the player has insufficient funds.
