All base races have been reworked with updated traits and spell progression by level. Four additional races are accessible by selecting a Level 1 Passive as Human.

Choose a Draconic Ancestry at character creation to determine your Breath Weapon damage type and Damage Resistance.
- Breath Weapon — Area attack based on ancestry (line or cone)

- Draconic Flight — Gain a fly speed at higher levels
- Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
- Dwarven Resilience — Advantage on saving throws against poison; resistance to poison damage
Subraces: Hill Dwarf, Mountain Dwarf, Duergar
- Fey Ancestry — Advantage on saves against being Charmed; immune to magical sleep
- Keen Senses — Proficiency in Perception
- Trance — Only need 4 hours of rest
Subraces: Drow, High Elf, Wood Elf
- Astral Knowledge — Gain proficiency in any skill temporarily
- Githyanki Psionics — Mage Hand, Jump, Misty Step (by level)
- Psychic Resilience — Resistance to psychic damage
- Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
- Gnomish Cunning — Advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic
Subraces: Forest Gnome, Rock Gnome, Deep Gnome
- Fey Ancestry — Advantage on saves against being Charmed
- Resourceful — Gain Heroic Inspiration after a Long Rest
Subraces: Drow Half-Elf, High Half-Elf, Wood Half-Elf
- Brave — Advantage on saving throws against being Frightened
- Luck — Reroll 1s on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws

- Skillful — Proficiency in one additional skill
- Versatile — One free Origin Feat at Level 1
- Special: Select a Level 1 Passive to play as Aasimar, Dhampir, Goliath, or Kalashtar
- Adrenaline Rush — Dash as a bonus action, gaining temporary HP
- Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
- Relentless Endurance — Drop to 1 HP instead of 0 once per Long Rest
- Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
- Thaumaturgy — Minor magical effects cantrip
- Gain additional spells by level based on subrace
Subraces: Asmodeus, Mephistopheles, Zariel
These four races are not selectable directly at character creation. Instead, choose Human and select the corresponding Level 1 Passive to play as one of them.
- Celestial Resistance — Resistance to necrotic and radiant damage
- Healing Hands — Touch a creature to heal HP equal to your Proficiency Bonus
- Celestial Revelation — Transform at higher levels: Necrotic Shroud, Radiant Consumption, or Radiant Soul
- Speed — 35 ft base movement
- Trace of Undeath — Necrotic resistance and spider climb
- Vampiric Bite — Bite attack that restores HP on a hit
- Speed — 35 ft base movement
- Giant Ancestry — Choose one of 6 ancestry options for unique passive abilities
- Large Form — Grow to Large size at higher levels, increasing reach and carrying capacity
- Dual Mind — Advantage on Wisdom saving throws
- Mental Discipline — Resistance to psychic damage
- Severed from Dreams — Immune to spells that require the target to dream
