All races have been reworked with updated traits and spell progression by level — with more to come.

Aasimar

Selectable as a Human subrace

  • Celestial Resistance — Resistance to necrotic and radiant damage
  • Healing Hands — Touch a creature to heal HP equal to your Proficiency Bonus
  • Celestial Revelation — Transform at higher levels: Necrotic Shroud, Radiant Consumption, or Radiant Soul

Dhampir

Selectable as a Human subrace

  • Speed — 35 ft base movement
  • Trace of Undeath — Necrotic resistance and spider climb
  • Vampiric Bite — Bite attack that restores HP on a hit

Dragonborn

Choose a Draconic Ancestry at character creation to determine your Breath Weapon damage type and Damage Resistance.

  • Breath Weapon — Area attack based on ancestry (line or cone)
  • Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
  • Draconic Flight — Gain a fly speed at higher levels

Dwarf

  • Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
  • Dwarven Resilience — Advantage on saving throws against poison; resistance to poison damage

Subraces: Duergar, Hill Dwarf, Mountain Dwarf

Elf

  • Fey Ancestry — Advantage on saves against being Charmed; immune to magical sleep
  • Keen Senses — Proficiency in Perception
  • Trance — Only need 4 hours of rest

Each subrace grants spells at higher levels:

  • Drow — Level 1: Superior Darkvision, Dancing Lights / Level 3: Faerie Fire / Level 5: Darkness
  • High Elf — Level 1: Wizard Cantrip / Level 3: Faerie Fire / Level 5: Misty Step
  • Ice Elf — Level 1: Ray of Frost / Level 3: Ice Knife / Level 5: Gust of Wind
  • Wood Elf — Level 1: Speed 35 ft / Level 3: Longstrider / Level 5: Pass without Trace

Githyanki

  • Astral Knowledge — Gain proficiency in any skill temporarily
  • Githyanki Psionics — Mage Hand, Jump, Misty Step (by level)
  • Psychic Resilience — Resistance to psychic damage

Gnome

  • Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
  • Gnomish Cunning — Advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic

Subraces: Deep Gnome, Forest Gnome, Rock Gnome

Goliath

Selectable as a Human subrace

  • Speed — 35 ft base movement
  • Giant Ancestry — Choose one of 6 ancestry options for unique passive abilities
  • Large Form — Grow to Large size at higher levels, increasing reach and carrying capacity

Half-Elf

  • Fey Ancestry — Advantage on saves against being Charmed
  • Resourceful — Gain Heroic Inspiration after a Long Rest

Each subrace grants spells at higher levels:

  • Drow Half-Elf — Level 1: Superior Darkvision, Dancing Lights / Level 3: Faerie Fire / Level 5: Darkness
  • High Half-Elf — Level 1: Wizard Cantrip / Level 3: Faerie Fire / Level 5: Misty Step

Halfling

  • Brave — Advantage on saving throws against being Frightened
  • Luck — Reroll 1s on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws

Human

  • Resourceful — Gain Heroic Inspiration after a Long Rest
  • Skillful — Proficiency in one additional skill
  • Versatile — One free Origin Feat at Level 1

Kalashtar

Selectable as a Human subrace

  • Dual Mind — Advantage on Wisdom saving throws
  • Mental Discipline — Resistance to psychic damage
  • Severed from Dreams — Immune to spells that require the target to dream

Orc

  • Adrenaline Rush — Dash as a bonus action, gaining temporary HP
  • Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
  • Relentless Endurance — Drop to 1 HP instead of 0 once per Long Rest

Tiefling

  • Darkvision — See in darkness up to 60 ft
  • Thaumaturgy — Minor magical effects cantrip

Each subrace grants spells at higher levels:

  • Asmodeus — Level 1: Poison Spray / Level 3: Ray of Sickness / Level 5: Hold Person
  • Mephistopheles — Level 1: Chill Touch / Level 3: False Life / Level 5: Ray of Enfeeblement
  • Zariel — Level 1: Fire Bolt / Level 3: Hellish Rebuke / Level 5: Darkness
