08 Workdir

Note: After D92, “workdir” means the shared conversation working directory. Task execution root is cwd (runs.task_cwd / start_task.cwd).

Concept

A folder on disk bound to a conversation. All Bots in that conversation may read/write it (subject to lease). Default place for user files the team edits.

Entity

Stored with path, binding conversation, protection rules. Project teams auto-grant workdir access with membership; edit entry on project overview (41-Project-Team).

Write lease (D29 / D75)

At most one write task holds the lease for a workdir/workspace key. Cross-conversation. Read-only tasks unlimited. Not implemented via git worktree isolation (explicit non-goal).

Checkpoints (D30)

Shadow git repo records checkpoints; user can inspect diffs and roll back an execution’s changes.

Realtime mount into private WSL2 distro (D32).
