Built-in host tools web_search + web_fetch — not a default skill. Search is a service call; scraping SERPs with curl is fragile.

Config

settings.webSearch (tavily / brave / bocha); keys under websearch:{provider}. Missing config → inline setup {kind:'web-search'}.

web_fetch has SSRF protections and works independently. Read-only public-net ops — no approval required.
