39 Workbench

Status: designed; implementation in progress (D90)

Outside chat: coordinate todos (user-assigned work) + memos (scratch, convertible) + Butler tools. Mental model: Bot = employee, project = team, Butler = assistant.

Bot-owned schedules stay the Bot’s calendar — shown beside todos, not converted into todos.

Dispatch

Host appends a visible user message in the target conversation (“Workbench sent this for you”). Bypasses proactive-message / quiet-hours caps but triggerFromUser=false for sensitive writes. Project assignees default to structured @ of the effective lead (D92).

Butler permissions

Host-enforced like D89: if the turn is not from the user, Butler may only read / memo / draft — not assign, schedule, start, reassign, close, or delete memos without proposing in reply.
