This page contains information about release 3.6.1, the first public release in the 3.6 branch. The 3.6 branch mainly contains fixes without visual impact, to prepare for 3.7 which is expect to see two large feature extensions.

How to upgrade

You can upgrade directly from 3.3.4, and any 3.4 or 3.5 release.

Known issues with this release

• A buglet was fixed in relation to newline handling in XML feeds. However, this causes all items from those feeds to change: they will reappear in the assess list. It may take some effort to remove those duplicate items by hand.
• You may need to install the OS package for File::Remove (perl-File-Remove or libfile-remove-perl) before bootstrapping.
• When doing a fresh install, the taranis schema fails. Two lines in install/db-load/taranis-schema.sql are too far down. See patch https://github.com/NCSC-NL/taranis3/commit/f6e813bdc6a5828bdd50aa9904ab8c81d284096d

Configuration

You have to apply all configuration changes as described in releases since the previous version you have installed. Start with getting your configuration to Release 3.5.1. At the moment, we are not aware of any required configuration changes to get 3.6.1 to work.
