release 3.7.4

This page contains information about release 3.7.4, the first public release in the 3.7 branch. Based on 3.7, NCSC developed three new extensions for internal user (in our private fork of this code). This effected some of the core of Taranis as well.

Changes

• sub-commands of the 'taranis' command and the REST server operations can use your own namespace. See Plugins.
• The central pages moved from activity icons presented as images to the recognizable fontawesome icon set. These scale.
• One user can now have multiple roles (gets the rights related to any of the roles he/she is in)
• Dozens of minor fixes.
• Older releases will not be available in parallel (on other ports)

How to upgrade

You can upgrade directly from 3.3.4, and any 3.4, 3.5, or 3.6 release.

Known issues with this release

• Call-list does not contain all people to be called (patch available)
• External Perl component SQL::Abstract changed its output, which breaks close to all database queries. Release 3.7.5 is expected soon, but you may also be able to downgrade that module to a version before 2.0.

Configuration

You have to apply all manual configuration changes as described in releases since the previous version you have installed. At the moment, we are not aware of any required configuration difference between 3.5 and 3.6.
