Founded 1975 by Josh Jensen in Mt. Harlan (San Benito County). Jensen searched for limestone soils similar to Burgundy to grow Pinot Noir. Established vineyards at 2,200 feet elevation in Gabilan Mountain Range.
Now part of Duckhorn Wine Company portfolio.
Mt. Harlan - San Benito County at 2,200 feet elevation. Certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) since 2008. Cooled by marine air from Pacific Ocean through Monterey Bay. Low yields (rarely exceeding 2 tons per acre).

Focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Uses beneficial insects, compost, and cover crops for organic farming. Minimal intervention approach.
