History

2009: Mica Raas founded Myka Estates (also known as Myka Cellars), originally focusing on Central Coast wine growing region.

Originally based in Santa Cruz/Watsonville area, producing wines from Santa Cruz Mountains and Monterey Bay region.

2016: Winery moved to Diamond Springs in El Dorado County, shifting focus to Sierra Foothills.

Winemaker

Mica Raas grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains and studied winemaking through UC Davis.

Current Operations

Tasting room in Apple Hill with views of Sierra Foothills. Produces wines under multiple brands:

Santa Cruz Mountains Connection

Grapes sourced from small, family-operated vineyards in the Monterey Bay region and Santa Cruz Mountains during early years (2009-2016). Former Santa Cruz Mountains wines included Chardonnay bottlings.

Note

Winery relocated from Santa Cruz Mountains area to El Dorado County in 2016.
