Personal label of Michael Martella, longtime winemaker for Thomas Fogarty Winery (1981-2019). Now closed.
Founded in 1998 as Michael Martella's personal label while he was head winemaker at Thomas Fogarty Winery. After stepping down from Thomas Fogarty's head winemaker position in 2013 to become winemaker emeritus, Martella focused more on his own label. He fully retired from Thomas Fogarty in 2019.
Operated the M4 Wine Tasting Room in Saratoga with fellow winemaker Michael Michaud. Closed in 2017.
Martella Wines is no longer in production.
Produces wines from various appellations:
- Santa Cruz Mountains AVA (including Syrah from Camel Hill Vineyard)
- Mendocino
- Fiddletown
