Silvertip Vineyards is located on property owned by the Nelson family since 1967 in Los Gatos at 1700 feet elevation in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The site was originally operated as a Christmas tree farm before conversion to vineyards.
The vineyard was established in 1999 with 9 acres planted to multiple clones of Pinot Noir (4 clones) and Chardonnay (2 clones), plus Syrah. This clonal diversity allows for complexity in blending and site-specific expression.
