Cinnabar Vineyards (Domaine Eden)

Cinnabar Winery is a family-owned winery established in 1983 by the late Tom Mudd, who planted 55 acres of vineyards in 1983 and built a winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Tom was a fan of Mount Eden Vineyards and initially planted the Mount Eden clonal selections of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. He later added Pinot Noir from various Dijon and California heritage selections

After Mudd's passing in 2007, the brand and the land were separated. The vineyards and winery were sold to Mount Eden who use them for their Domaine Eden second label. The winery is situated at about 1,650 feet in the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation, with a soil structure of Los Gatos Clay Loam and north and east-facing vineyards.
