History

1925: Italian immigrants Emilio and Emilia Guglielmo established Emilio Guglielmo Winery in Morgan Hill, purchasing 15 acres in the Santa Clara Valley. The winery was founded anticipating the end of Prohibition.

1945: George W. Guglielmo (second generation) joined the family business.

1980s: Third generation (brothers George E., Gene, and Gary) took over winery operations.

2025: The winery celebrates its 100th anniversary, now operated by third and fourth generation family members.

Guglielmo is frequently described as the oldest continuously operated family winery in the Santa Clara Valley.
