PCGamingWiki

GameAtlas integrates with PCGamingWiki to provide useful technical information for supported games directly from the selected game view.

PCGamingWiki is a community-maintained reference for PC game fixes, configuration details, save locations, graphics options, input support, and compatibility information.

GameAtlas uses this information to reduce the amount of manual searching required when troubleshooting or configuring a game.

What GameAtlas Uses PCGamingWiki For

Depending on the game and available data, GameAtlas can surface information related to:

  • Save locations
  • Configuration file locations
  • Known issues
  • Fixes and workarounds
  • Graphics settings
  • Display behavior
  • Input support
  • API support
  • Compatibility information
  • Engine-related notes
  • Platform-specific behavior

Not every game has the same amount of information available.

Game Matching

When you select a game, GameAtlas attempts to match the local installation to the correct PCGamingWiki entry.

Matching may use information such as:

  • Game title
  • Launcher or source
  • Executable information
  • Local metadata
  • Known aliases or title variations

Once a match is found, GameAtlas can associate the selected game with its PCGamingWiki page and related technical information.

Save Locations

One of the most useful PCGamingWiki data sources is save-location information.

GameAtlas can use available PCGamingWiki information to help identify where a game's save files are stored.

Depending on the game, saves may be located in places such as:

Windows

Documents
Saved Games
AppData
LocalAppData
Steam userdata
Game installation folders
Launcher-specific directories
