GameAtlas is an open-source desktop companion for managing, inspecting, optimizing, and troubleshooting PC games on Windows and Linux.
Version 2.4 combines a unified installed-game library with save tools, compatibility resources, diagnostics, performance capture, and platform-appropriate mod-management workflows.
The Linux mod manager and Nexus Mods connection are currently testing integrations.
GameAtlas discovers games from supported local launchers and combines them into one library.
Windows: Steam, Epic Games Launcher, GOG Galaxy, Ubisoft Connect, EA App, Xbox/Microsoft Store, and manual entries.
Linux: Steam, Proton, Heroic Games Launcher, Lutris, native Linux installations, and manual entries.
See Game Detection and Supported Launchers.
GameAtlas can surface installation paths, executables, versions, engines, graphics APIs, launcher context, storage information, saves, configuration paths, screenshots, and external compatibility resources.
See Game Information.
The expanded Diagnostics Center coordinates display validation, crash investigation, runtime dependencies, configuration validation, mod and DLL conflicts, launch failures, background conflicts, graphics drivers, shader caches, and Proton-aware troubleshooting.
See Diagnostics Center.
GameAtlas records presented-frame data with PresentMon on Windows and MangoHud on Linux. Captures can report average FPS, low-percentile performance, frame-time percentiles, and large spikes.
See Performance Capture and Performance Diagnostics.
Supported games can expose save and configuration locations, backups, restore points, snapshots, and validation or repair workflows.
See Save Management.
GameAtlas detects resources such as RenoDX, Luma, ReShade, Fluffy Mod Manager, and Vortex support.
On Linux, GameAtlas 2.4 also includes a managed mod library with safe archive extraction, deployment previews, enable/disable controls, priority and conflict handling, profiles, verification, repair, purge/redeploy, metadata, and transactional upgrades.
See Vortex, Linux Mod Manager, and Nexus Mods Integration.
- Windows documents Windows-native discovery, diagnostics, PresentMon, and official Vortex workflows.
- Linux documents Steam/Proton, Heroic, Lutris, MangoHud, runtime tools, and the Linux mod manager.
GameAtlas uses a shared interface while retaining platform-specific implementations where operating-system behavior differs.
GameAtlas performs most processing locally and does not operate advertising, analytics, or telemetry services. Network features connect directly to their named providers. Nexus testing credentials remain in process memory and are not written to disk.
