- Build > Consume. Reading 50 tutorials ≈ building 1. Ship something every week, even tiny.
- Spaced repetition. Re-explain a concept a day, a week, a month later. It's the only thing that fights forgetting.
- Teach to learn. Blog, tweet a thread, or explain it to a rubber duck. Gaps appear when you try to teach.
- Read source, not just docs. Once you can, the source is the only ground truth.
- One engine at a time. Don't learn Unity and Unreal and Godot simultaneously — pick one, ship, then compare.
- Difficulty dial. Stay at the edge of your ability ("desirable difficulty") — bored = too easy, frustrated = too hard.
Links are checked with curl (HEAD first, with a 1-byte ranged GET fallback for hosts that reject HEAD). Most return a clean 2xx/3xx; the ones that don't fall into two known buckets — both of which are live in a browser:

www.youtube.com/@channelandwww.youtube.com/c/channelURLs return 404 tocurlbecause YouTube blocks non-browser user agents — the channels themselves are alive and named after their creators.
If a link looks stale, send a PR replacing it with the canonical root of that project or author (deep links rot fast), or with a Wayback Machine snapshot for historic content.
