AdBlockerDetector Plugin
This plugin detects some ad-blocking behavior and can ask viewers to disable the blocker. Detection is not perfect: privacy tools, DNS filtering, browser policies and extensions change frequently.
- Decide whether playback should be blocked or only a polite message shown.
- Publish a privacy-friendly explanation and an alternative for users who cannot disable filtering.
- Confirm essential site functions remain usable when detection makes a mistake.
Enable the plugin, review its message/options, then test with and without several common blockers in a private browser window. Also test mobile browsers and a network-level blocker if your audience uses one.
Does it stop every blocker? No. Client-side detection can be bypassed and may produce false positives.
Why is a paying user blocked? The detector does not automatically know every subscription/ad-free rule. Test its interaction with payment and user-group plugins.
Can I hide the close/continue choice? Review the current plugin parameters, but consider accessibility and consumer/privacy requirements before forcing a viewer.
