SocialMediaPublisher plugin — under development

The current source tags SocialMediaPublisher as under development. It should not be treated as a production-ready promise to publish reliably to every social network.

The plugin contains preferences, tokens and publishing logs and may interact with restream.ypt.me. External platforms frequently change authentication, media requirements, review and rate limits.

If you evaluate it

  1. Use a staging AVideo site and disposable social accounts/content.
  2. Read the current plugin/provider requirements and privacy terms.
  3. Grant the minimum scopes and use short-lived/revocable credentials.
  4. Test duplicate retries, failed uploads, token expiry and removal.
  5. Verify title, privacy, comments and media actually published at the destination.

Do not enable automatic publishing for production channels until failure handling and ownership are understood.

Common questions

Why is a provider missing? Only integrations implemented in the current plugin/service are available.

Why does AVideo say success but the post is absent? Check the provider/publishing log and asynchronous processing; “request accepted” may not mean “published.”

Can I post private videos? Do not assume AVideo privacy transfers to another platform. Publishing may create a new copy under that platform's rules.
