ReportVideo Plugin
ReportVideo adds a control that lets viewers report inappropriate or problematic content to the site team. It helps moderation but does not remove a video automatically.
- Configure outgoing e-mail and the site contact address.
- Enable
ReportVideoand optionally setemailLogoto a trusted HTTPS image. - Report a disposable video from a normal account.
- Confirm the message reaches the intended moderators and contains enough context.
- Document who reviews reports, response times and escalation rules.
Treat reports as allegations, not proof. Protect reporter/user personal information and preserve relevant evidence according to your policy.
Why does no e-mail arrive? Test SMTP separately, then inspect AVideo/mail-provider logs and spam filtering.
Does a report hide the video? No. An authorized moderator must review and choose an action.
Can visitors abuse it? Rate limiting, authentication and moderation workflow should be reviewed; never follow links or attachments from a report without caution.
