Nexus Theme is a free, open-source app for the Frappe / ERPNext Desk, published by Abbas Raza. This page describes, in plain language, what the app does with data.

The short version

Nexus Theme collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Everything it saves stays in your own site's database, on your own server. The publisher never receives any of it and has no way to.

What the app stores, and where

All of it lives in your site's database, alongside the rest of your Frappe data:

Each preference record is linked to a Frappe User so the app knows whose settings they are. It stores no other personal information: no names, no email addresses beyond that link, no addresses, no payment details, no usage history, and no analytics of any kind.

Your browser

The app keeps two small values in your browser's local storage:

• The theme you have applied. This lets the sign-in page paint in your colours before it finishes loading, instead of flashing the wrong ones.
• Which tab of the theme editor you last had open.

These never leave your browser. Clearing your browser data removes them, and the app carries on working.

Nexus Theme sets no cookies of its own.

No connection to the outside world

The app makes no network requests to any server other than your own. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting to a third party, no advertising, and no tracking. It loads no fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images from any content delivery network — every asset it uses is installed on your own site. Nothing about your usage is reported to the publisher or to anyone else.

Sound files you upload

If you upload your own audio in Sound Studio, the file is stored as a normal Frappe File on your own site and is served only from there.

Who can see your settings

Your theme and sound choices are yours. Other users cannot see them. The one exception is a theme you deliberately mark Share with other users, which makes that theme — its colours and its name, not your identity — available to your colleagues on the same site. Your site's administrators can see and reset preference records, as they can with any record on your site.

Removing your data

Uninstalling the app (bench --site yoursite.com uninstall-app nexus_theme) removes its tables, and with them every preference and theme it stored. An administrator can also delete individual User Theme Preference or User Sound Preference records at any time.

Children

The app is a workplace tool and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the history of every edit is public in this wiki.
