Filters and Presets
Neo applies filters in the order shown in the chain. Order can materially change both image quality and performance.
Typical filter types include GLSL, ONNX, frame interpolation, Slang/.slangp, resize, CRT, denoise, sharpen and deband filters.
The filters bundled with Neo are documented separately by processing type:
- Built-in GLSL Filters — Anime4K, FSRCNNX, RAVU, CRT, denoise, deband, sharpen, resize, pixel-art filters, and more
- Built-in ONNX Filters — AnimeJaNai, cHiDeNoise, ToHeart 35mm, RIFE, DRBA, TemporalFix, and other bundled AI models
These pages describe the filters actually bundled with the current Neo package and group them by purpose.
A preset stores a useful filter-chain configuration and related options.
Neo supports simple markup in preset names for visual highlighting.
| Preset name syntax | Display in Neo |
|---|---|
*Preset Name* |
Glowing gold |
**Preset Name** |
Glowing light blue / cyan |
***Preset Name*** |
Glowing red |
Preset Name FG |
Orange when the preset name ends in FG

Examples:
*Anime Quality*
**Recommended**
***Heavy / High-End***
Film FG
These markers affect the preset-list appearance; they do not change filter processing.
CRT Beam Simulator-Neo is a built-in filter, and Neo preserves the position selected by the user.
If a preset references a model, shader or external SLANGP pack that is missing, restore the required files or pack.
