Several actions on one line

H3 spreads actions over the seconds when each is on its own line.

✗ Worse: She turns, then smiles and waves.

✓ Better: [0s-2s] She turns to the camera.
[2s-4s] She smiles.
[4s-5s] She waves.

Walking with no direction

✗ Worse: She walks down the street.

✓ Better: She walks toward the camera down the street.

Without a direction the model often turns the person to face us but moves them away from the camera — the result is walking backwards.

Lettering

Signs, screens, letters, books — models often write gibberish on them. If you don't need lettering, don't mention objects with text. If you do — keep it short, in quotes: a neon sign reading "OPEN"; it won't always work.

Extra people

Every person you mention will appear in the shot. If there is one hero, add Only she is in this scene, nobody else. Describe a crowd as background: blurred passers-by in the background.

A different place in a continuation

A continuation starts from the last frame — so it is in the same room. «She walks into another room» gives an abrupt jump in the middle of the scene; a new place is a new scene.

Clothes change

If the clothes are described differently across scenes, or not at all, the model invents new ones. Copy the hero's description word for word.

Fast movement

Running, fighting, dancing, an abrupt camera get smeared, especially in a draft. Slow the action down, or shoot it closer and shorter.

Empty words

epic, amazing, emotional, masterpiece don't tell the model what to shoot. Replace them with light, movement and sound.

Non-English words in the text

Write everything except the spoken words in English: the model understands a word in another language in the middle of English text worse, and in the storyboard a non-English word gets the «check» mark.
