Settings: Environment
Weather/time and water/breath are two separate widgets. Entering water does not replace the main weather panel.
| Setting | Behaviour | Fresh default |
|---|---|---|
| Game clock & weather | Realm clock, location, public weather and modelled air temperature. | On |
| 24-hour time bar | Night/dawn/day/dusk colour guide and time marker in the large layout. | On |
| Notify when weather changes | A brief weather-change message lasting about four seconds. | Off |
| Clock layout | Large / Compact, independent of the reminder layout once configured. | Large on a fresh install |
| Widget size | Independent 50–150% scale. | 70% |
The clock reads realm/game time, not your computer's local clock.
Weather is read from the client's public weather API. Supported states include clear, rain, snow, sandstorm and other weather. Missing/unreadable weather is displayed as unavailable, not silently converted to “Clear”.
Turning off weather-change notifications does not stop the weather card updating. The 24-hour colour bar is not shown in the compact layout.
Air and water temperatures are modelled by the addon; they are not temperatures supplied by the game client.
The model combines the packaged zone/subzone climate profiles, time of day, date-based daily variation and current public weather. It smooths changes and applies special location/water rules where supported.
Values are displayed in °C. The 1.19.4 settings contain no Fahrenheit selector.
Unsupported locations, instances or unavailable input can produce —. The model does not fill gaps with a claimed official measurement or invent unseen weather history.
Water & breath is independently enabled by default. Its panel opens when the addon has water-contact information.
It can show swimming/in-water state, modelled water temperature and, when the client supplies a usable breath timer, remaining breath with a progress bar. The panel expands automatically for the available information.
The implementation uses a draining breath timer as evidence for the “Submerged” label. With water-breathing effects or missing breath information it may show a more general swimming/in-water state instead.
After a confirmed return to dry land, it remains briefly before hiding, normally about two seconds.
There is no depth, altitude, vertical-speed or elapsed-dive-time display. Unavailable breath data does not mean the addon has confirmed unlimited breath.
Weather and water each have their own size, Preview, Move and Lock controls. Move them outside combat. The previews are short demonstrations, not readings from your current location.
Widget switches, sizing and weather-layout choices are shared settings. Widget positions are character-specific; Large and Compact weather positions can be stored separately.
The character reminder master also gates these widgets. The ordinary mounted/resting hide toggles are not a substitute for their own Environment controls.
