Supported package

This guide is for Forever Mini Reminder 1.19.4, packaged for WoW: Forever 1.60.1 / Interface 16001. Other WoW editions are not release targets.

The display name is Forever Mini Reminder, but the installation folder and TOC retain the historical name ForeverShamanReminder.

Manual installation

  1. Extract ForeverShamanReminder from the release ZIP.

  2. Put that folder directly inside the Forever client's Interface/AddOns directory.

  3. Check that this file exists:

    Interface/AddOns/ForeverShamanReminder/ForeverShamanReminder.toc

  4. Restart the client for a first installation. Enable Forever Mini Reminder in the AddOns list.

  5. After updating an existing installation, reload outside combat with /reload.

Do not rename the folder to ForeverMiniReminder, and avoid an extra nested ZIP folder. Several assets use the release folder path.

The package declares Blizzard_AuraContainer as a dependency. It is supplied by the target client; do not replace it with a download intended for another edition.

First launch

Fresh account data can show a one-time Welcome panel with Settings and Got it buttons. Existing installations are not deliberately interrupted by this welcome panel.

This is a short welcome screen, not a multi-step setup wizard.

Open settings with /fsrsettings or the minimap button. In General, choose Large or Compact, adjust size, and select grouped or independent positioning. Fresh installations start in Large at 70%.

Open your class page and configure the specific expectations you use. There is no universal Tank / Healer / DPS role selector.

Positioning

Use Move, drag the relevant reminder group or tracker, then Lock. The DoT bar has a labelled Move handle. Environment widgets have their own Move/Lock controls in Environment.

Arrange frames outside combat. Some protected changes are postponed until combat ends. Reopening settings recovers a settings window that has been dragged completely offscreen.

Updating and saved settings

The release is designed to preserve compatible settings. Class switches migrate from the older shared storage once per character. Shared appearance, language and utility preferences remain separate from character preferences.

Development settings are not imported into release settings. Do not delete SavedVariables as a routine update step, and back up existing data before any manual reset.
