Preparation warnings draw attention to a missing effect, supply or expected state. Active trackers show useful ongoing information such as a Seal timer, shield charges or placed totems.
A visible card does not always mean something is wrong. Likewise, disabling preparation warnings does not make the independent map and bag utilities disappear.
Checks use the character's learned spells, enabled families and explicit preferences. The addon does not infer a talent role and choose a build for you.
Equivalent effects are recognised for selected buff families. For example, documented Intellect, Fortitude and Spirit alternatives can satisfy those checks; an arbitrary stat increase is not treated as interchangeable with every class buff.
Unreadable game data is not deliberately interpreted as proof that an effect is missing.
| Check | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Player health | Below 30%, normally outside combat. |
| Player mana | Below 30%; supported displays also work in combat. |
| Pet health | Below 40%; Hunter's dedicated pet-health display includes combat. |
| Ammunition | Below 100, or missing / empty / incompatible ammunition as applicable. |
These are implementation thresholds, not user-adjustable percentage sliders in 1.19.4. Pet and resource coverage varies by class.
Eating or drinking suppresses applicable player resource warnings outside combat. It does not suppress every feature.
General contains three independent switches, enabled by default:
- Hide while mounted
- Hide in cities / resting areas
- Hide while dead / ghost
“Resting” uses the client's resting state, including inns; it is not merely a check of the zone name. The shared hide rules also apply to Active DoTs and combo points. Taxi travel has additional suppression.
Other utilities have their own visibility rules and settings.
Most inventory, equipment, consumable and preferred-state preparation checks run outside combat. Supported active-aura displays, mana warnings, DoTs and combo points can run in combat. Totems have a special rule: placed timers can remain outside combat, while missing-totem warnings run in combat.
Charge / Intercept / Feral Charge cues are outside-combat features.
Right-click the minimap button or use /fsr test for a short preview. Preview can show consumable samples even with empty bags. This does not change the live bag-only rule.
Supply reminders such as “create food” or “out of Soul Shards” deliberately appear when something is absent. Do not confuse them with profession-consumable reminders, which require an owned usable item.
