First checks

Use the target Forever 1.60.1 client and the correctly named release folder. Open settings with /fsrsettings. After an update, try /reload outside combat.

Check the character master, the individual feature switch, learned spell/item requirements and General mounted/resting/dead hiding. Preview is useful for appearance, but it is not proof of live detection.

Common symptoms

Symptom	Check / explanation
Addon not listed	Interface/AddOns/ForeverShamanReminder/ForeverShamanReminder.toc must exist; restart after first installation.
Missing Blizzard_AuraContainer dependency	Confirm the target client/edition. The dependency belongs to that client.
No reminders in an inn/city	Resting-area hiding is on by default.
No preparation warnings in combat	Most supply/equipment/consumable checks deliberately run outside combat.
Resource threshold differs from your preference	1.19.4 has fixed thresholds, not configurable percentages.
Pet settings are dimmed	Petless preference deliberately disables the associated checks.
Shield selection causes a reload	Expected for the Shaman preference change in this build.
/fmr does not open settings on Mage	Use /fsrsettings; /fmr has duplicate registrations in the source.
Consumable sample appears without the item	Exit Move/Preview. Ordinary tracking requires carried usable items.
Camping item has no reminder	Check a recognised campfire and equivalent-buff conditions.
DoT bar absent	Check its switch, master/hide rules, supported spell, eligible target/nameplates and actual active effect.
DoT icons work but damage is —	The cast estimate can be unavailable; reapply after a reload.
Offscreen mob disappears from DoT bar	Active verification depends on available target/nameplate units.
“May finish” was wrong	It is an estimate, not a guaranteed outcome.
Clicking a DoT card does nothing	Cards are passive.
Combo number absent	Rogue or Cat Form Druid; hostile target, visible nameplate, relevant points and enabled switch.
Charge cue absent	Outside combat, learned usable spell, correct form/stance, range, cooldown and visible nameplate.
Size/position change waits until combat ends	Protected layout changes can be deferred.
Settings window disappeared offscreen	Close/reopen it with /fsrsettings to trigger recovery.
Weather says unavailable or temperature is —	Required public input/profile may be absent; no reading is invented.
Water panel lacks a breath countdown	The client may not provide a usable active breath timer.
Game will not reopen on the same flight	Closing dismissed the whole flight-game session until the journey ends.
AFK scene missing	AFK adventures/master must be on, AFK must be confirmed, and you must not be in combat/dead/on taxi.
Bag numbers remain after /fsr off	Bag counters are independent. Use Bag Bar or /fsrbags off; Hunter ammo has its own switch.

Lua errors or taint / forbidden-frame errors

Copy the full error and stack, not only the first line. Note whether it occurred during combat, on target change, while moving/scaling, or while opening another addon.

Generate the built-in report while the relevant settings/state are present. Include a real screenshot for visual problems.

The 1.19.4 changelog lists fixes for DoT forbidden-frame and layout issues. This Wiki does not claim those fixes were independently verified in a live client. A recurrence should still be reported.

Third-party UI conflicts

For a reproducible visual issue, compare with the other UI-modifying addons disabled for a test session. Restore them afterwards. This helps distinguish a native bag/nameplate replacement from an ordinary reminder setting.

Do not assume every third-party addon has been compatibility-tested.

Preserve your data

Do not delete SavedVariables as the first troubleshooting step. Back up before resets; existing data may help reproduce a migration bug.

/fsr reset resets module positions rather than every setting. If a particular independent widget remains misplaced, use its own Move control.

The support form does not save drafts across /reload. Copy the report first.
