Recordings of real signals, shared by users and tagged by mode.
The signal sample library holds IQ and audio recordings of real signals, shared by users and tagged by mode (for example #dvb-t2).
- Open files.on-air.dev and find a recording for the mode you want to try.
- Download it.
- In OnAir choose the mode, then the IQ recording file source and pick the file. SigMF recordings carry their own rate and frequency; raw files need the rate and format (see the file's notes).
- Press Start. The recording plays through the receiver exactly as a live radio would.
For audio recordings, or to analyse something unknown, open the file in the Signal workbench.
Recordings of modes that have had less testing on real signals are the most useful. Record with Record IQ (SigMF ticked), then upload the file at the library. Every file is checked and reviewed before it appears.
You can also send a recording on Discord or attach it to a GitHub issue when reporting a problem.
