hyperconsciousness

AI agents work better when they can draw on a person's chats, code and documents, but giving an agent everything offers no control over what each agent can see. hyperconsciousness, which the project describes as "iCloud for agents", is an encrypted, permissioned knowledge store shared by a person and their agents. Its command is hc.

Encrypted Append-Only Store

Records are signed and encrypted, and the store is append-only. Records sync across devices. Reads made through a grant-scoped MCP connection verify history and reject tampered records.

Scoped Grants

The owner gives each device or agent a grant limited by record kind, tags, sensitivity level and duration. Grants expire, can be revoked and can be audited.

Agent Access and Ingestion

The repository includes a Rust engine, a command line, an MCP and HTTP server, agent skills and an optional local dashboard. Ingestion skills cover sources such as chats, Slack, GitHub and Google Workspace. Installing the skills does not connect accounts or start background ingestion.

Limits

The project states it is a developer alpha, that commands and APIs may change, and that no independent security audit is claimed. Grants limit what the server returns but do not sandbox a process that already has access to the owner's account, files or keys. The plain hc read command does not run a full integrity check.

Radar Assessment

hyperconsciousness is placed in Assess at the inner position. It addresses controlled, auditable memory sharing between a person and several agents, a gap that simpler memory servers on this radar do not cover. The repository is MIT licensed, was created on 2026-09-14, and had 7 stars and 1 open issue when checked. Combined with its alpha status and absence of an audit, there is no first-person use.
