SimMobility is distributed with a prototypical city data to demonstrate SimMobility's capabilities.

Motivation for distributing the data:

  • Testing new features in small ideal environment
  • Openly distribute SimMobility
  • Modifiable to resemble characteristics of different types of cities

The following approach is followed to generate the data:

  • Transportation network with structure & detail suitable for long/medium/short-term modeling
  • Construct a hypothetical set of residential and commercial buildings
  • Our virtual city has ~10% of Singapore’s population (~100K HHs)
