Current configuration limitations

This page describes source-confirmed limitations of the v2.12.1411 HA configuration flow. They are not claims about an observed customer installation. Updating the wiki does not repair integration code; check the running version and matching release notes.

Area Current behaviour What to do when configuring
Grid charge blackout windows The later grouped HA optimizer form omits the field, but its save can clear previously stored windows. Initial setup and client/API settings are separate surfaces. If you rely on existing blackout windows, avoid saving that HA form until a preservation fix is verified. Do not assume an omitted control is retained.
Tesla token edits A connection/token continuation can enter older provider paths, including an Amber default when the continuation lacks the current provider. Check the displayed provider before submitting rates. Reopen Electricity pricing & provider to check the saved choice; do not submit another retailer's tariff.
Initial Amber site selection The declared site picker is not reached on every normal fresh setup path. Check the NMI/site under the later Amber pricing options after connection. Token validation alone is insufficient.
Battery-brand switching The new selection and old-brand key cleanup occur before the new connection form finishes. Have connection details ready. Closing does not guarantee rollback; restoring the previous brand may require its details again.
SolarEdge menu label The selected-system connection entry is missing an English menu label. Use the connection-method reference to inspect the route; do not look for an invented labelled button.
Low-positive grid-charge price The HA conversion helper does not uniformly convert values above 0 through 1 c/kWh; for example 1.0 follows a path returning 1.0 in stored price units. Do not rely on that low-positive range until its conversion is verified/fixed. Zero/blank disables this cap; do not falsify tariff rates as a workaround.
Network export active mode Only Off/Monitoring are released for this envelope feature. Keep the approved external limiter responsible for enforcement; selecting related sensors does not enable active control.

Other fields appear only for their battery/provider/profile. Spread import/export is excluded for Tesla in the HA optimizer form; Amber Forecast Confidence is Amber-only; independent stack balancing is Neovolt-specific. A missing field can therefore be intentional. Start with Configuration and the relevant reference before treating absence as a defect.
